CPF is capable of providing assistance and relief to natural disaster victims during emergences. CPF also sells food at special prices in order to reduce the impact faced by communities during tough economic conditions. Examples are:
- Helping disaster victims during emergences
Emergences such as Tsunami or floods that happened in Thailand, Charoen Pokphand
Foods has always provided disaster victims with willingness and prompt help. Tsunami occurred in 2004 was an example which CPF was the first food provider that deliver food worth 15 million baht.
- Supporting student volunteer camps to develop rural areas
Charoen Pokphand Foods has supported student volunteer camps and activities since 2001
till 2007 to various academic institutions such as Chulalongkorn University, Kasetsart University, Khon Kaen University, etc. with a total of over a million baht.
- Supporting food caravan with Internal Trade Department
At the moment of sluggish growth in economy, high cost of living has been affected to
people’ expenses. CPF as a leading food producer cooperated with Internal Trade Department.
