Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Limited (CPF), Thailand’s largest agro-industrial and foods company, reported that Adirek Sripratak, President and CEO, was honored as an Asia Business Leader of 2008 by CNBC for his outstanding work in Corporate Social Responsibility.
The Corporate Social Responsibility Award acknowledges Adirek for his ability to translate the company’s success into benefits for the community.
With the company’s expertise, CPF considers it a responsibility of the company to create jobs and occupation for rural peoples in the country. Adirek has also spearheaded efforts to help develop the company’s output in an environmentally friendly way. He has initiated efforts in environmentally friendly shrimp farming, planting of mangrove forests, and alternative energy projects, including bio-gas, bio-diesel, and co-generation projects. He is constantly encouraging employees at CPF to be actively involved in the company’s important work in bettering the conditions of its society.
