Unemployment, poverty, and social inequality continue to pose challenges to the quality of life and livelihoods of people in the society. Such conditions also have adverse impact on the economy and national development at large. At the same time, Thailand is also entering into an “Aged Society” in which a portion of the working age population must now assume caretaker roles for the higher number of aged individuals, as well as people in other vulnerable groups. Given this, one task that all parties can support is the provision of basic needs, such as healthcare, housing, and values for all individuals in the society.
