CPF’s food products are all “Partially hydrogenated oils –free”

Charoen Pokphand Foods PCL (CPF) affirms that all of CPF’s products are free of partially hydrogenated oils (PHOs), which create trans fatty acid, an unsaturated fat known for posing a great risk of Cardiovascular disease.

As a leading food producers, CPF's the most important policy puts in place on quality and food safety manufacturing. The company seriously inspects all raw materials throughout its processing lines under traceability measure.

Mr. Sukhawat Dansermsuk, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) - Food Business and Co-President at CPF, states that all food products from CPF are made without partially hydrogenated oils, the main dietary source for trans fatty acid.

He added that the company is committed to deliver the safest foods to its consumers. Therefore, all ingredients are traced back to its original source where suppliers are carefully and regularly monitored. The continuous process aims to make certain that all of them are complied with Thai laws and CPF’s standard.

“With our world-class food processing standard and traceability system, consumers can be confident that they have received the safest food from CPF” Mr. Sukhawat said.

According the Public Health Ministry announcement that published on the Royal Gazette on July 13, the production, import and sale of foods containing partially hydrogenated oils will be prohibited in the Kingdom within 180 days (effective on 9th January 2019).
