CP Foods awards scholarship to students in the Philippines for five consecutive years.

Charoen Pokphand Foods Philippines (CP Foods Philippines) awarded scholarships to students from schools nearby the company’s operations in the Philippines.

In this year, 30 scholarships were given to students with strong academic performance from five elementary schools, which located nearby CP Foods’ aquaculture feed mill. Since 2014, the company has awarded 155 scholarships.

Mr. Udomsak Aksornpakdee, President of Agro - Industrial Business Group (Aquaculture) at CP Foods Philippines, said the company annually awards scholarships for the local students from low-income families, which many of them are children and relatives of CP Foods Philippines’ employees.

“The scholarships provide financial support to talented youths as well as giving them a push and motivation to study. Subsequently, it helps them to maintain good academic performance and become regular scholarship recipients.” He said.

The award ceremony was joined by honourable guests from Thai government, The Philippine Government and senior members of the company, such as Mr. Vasin Ruangprateepsaeng, Ambassador-designate of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of the Philippines, Samal’s Mayor Generosa dela Fuente, and Mr. Pinij Kungvankij, CP Foods’s Senior Advisor,.

This year recipients are from Nagwaling Elementary School, Adamson Elementary School, F.C del Rosario Elementary School, Gugo Elementary School and Asuncion Elementary School.
