Corn: Prices Stable
Feed corn prices at animal feed mill silos remained steady at 606 baht per picul. In the global market, the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) reported on 5 March 2026 that corn futures for May 2026 delivery rose by 9.75 cents (+2.20%), closing at USD 4.5350 per bushel, according to InfoQuest News Agency.
Grain markets responded to movements in crude oil prices, as the biofuel industry uses large quantities of soybeans and corn as feedstocks. Meanwhile, the strengthening of the U.S. dollar, driven by safe-haven demand amid tensions with Iran, put pressure on U.S. grain prices. Strong export demand also supported the corn market, with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) confirming on Wednesday the sale of 196,000 metric tons of corn to an undisclosed destination.
Outlook: Domestic corn prices are expected to remain stable.

Soybean Meal: Prices Stable
Imported soybean meal prices remained unchanged at 14.95 baht per kilogram. Soybean harvesting in Brazil is approximately 40% complete, with production conditions remaining favorable and output expected to exceed levels seen in previous years.
Soybean futures on the CBOT have climbed to their highest level in a year due to stronger demand from both the biofuel industry and China. According to InfoQuest, soybean futures for May 2026 delivery increased by 9.75 cents (+0.83%), closing at USD 11.7825 per bushel on 5 March 2026.
Concerns related to geopolitical tensions involving Iran pushed grain and soybean prices to multi-month highs earlier in the week. However, fundamental supply-and-demand factors continue to limit price gains. Brazil is currently harvesting what is expected to be a record soybean crop, which may reduce China’s demand for U.S. soybean imports.
Outlook: Imported soybean meal prices are expected to remain stable.

Fishmeal: Prices Stable
Peru is currently conducting surveys to assess fish stocks, with fishing quotas for the upcoming season expected to be announced in April. Meanwhile, fishmeal purchase prices in China continue to increase due to rising demand, while portside purchases are expanding and inventories at ports are declining.
Domestic fishmeal prices this week remained stable:
• Shrimp-grade fishmeal: 51.00 baht/kg
• Fishmeal No.1 (protein >60%): 45.70 baht/kg
• Fishmeal No.1 (protein <60%): 40.70 baht/kg
• Fishmeal No.2 (protein >60%): 42.20 baht/kg
• Fishmeal No.2 (protein 56–60%): 39.70 baht/kg

Rice: Prices Declined
The Thai Rice Exporters Association reported that 100% white rice (Grade 2) prices declined from 1,150 baht per sack to 1,130 baht per sack. Meanwhile, A1 Super broken rice remained stable at 1,040 baht per sack.
Regarding export prices (F.O.B. Bangkok), 100% white rice (Grade 2) fell from USD 421 per ton to USD 408 per ton, while A1 Super broken rice declined from USD 385 per ton to USD 380 per ton.

Swine: Prices Increased
The National Swine Raisers Association of Thailand reported that live hog prices at farm gate (Week 10/2026), as of Monday 2 March 2026, continued to increase toward production cost levels.
The average reference price for Bangkok and surrounding provinces rose by 4 baht, reaching 62 baht per kilogram. Prices in all regional markets also increased by 4 baht per kilogram. Meanwhile, 16-kg piglets were priced at approximately 1,500 baht per head (±58 baht).

The Broiler Raising Association reported that the recommended farm-gate price as of 2 March 2026 increased to 42 baht per kilogram, up from 41 baht per kilogram the previous week.
