Highlighting AI’s Role in Empowering People and Business
Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Limited (CPF) and its affiliate AXONS have received two awards at the Asian Technology Excellence Awards 2026, organised by Singapore-based Asian Business Review (ABR), recognising their application of AI to improve efficiency, enhance employee experience and deliver measurable business outcomes.
Enabling employees to spend more time on work that creates value is an important part of organisational development. CPF has therefore adopted AI as an “assistant” to reduce repetitive tasks, improve agility and support better decision-making.
CPF received the Thailand Technology Excellence Award for AI – Agriculture for its EZ HR Chatbot, an AI-powered HR assistant. AXONS, meanwhile, received the Thailand Technology Excellence Award 2026 for AI – Manufacturing Technology for AXONS Maintenance, its AI-enabled maintenance management platform.
EZ HR Chatbot: Helping Employees Work More Effectively
Pimonrat Reephattanavijitkul, Chief People Officer of CPF, said EZ HR Chatbot helps employees access HR information and services quickly and conveniently around the clock.
The chatbot currently handles more than 70,000 queries per month, reducing information search time by around 80% and saving an estimated 4,667 working hours each month. This allows employees and HR teams to devote more time to higher-value activities and better support business growth.
AXONS Maintenance: Supporting Maintenance Teams with AI
Somphop Tangboonthina, Director - Technology and Delivery Management at AXONS, said AXONS Maintenance brings maintenance information together on a single platform and uses AI to help analyse problems, identify possible causes and support machinery maintenance planning.
According to operational results, the platform can reduce unplanned machine downtime by up to 40% and lower maintenance costs by 30%, helping maintenance teams respond to issues more quickly and manage equipment more efficiently.
Both projects demonstrate how AI can be applied to strengthen people’s capabilities while improving organisational performance. The initiatives also reflect the award criteria covering innovation, effectiveness, measurable impact and the potential for further development to meet future business needs.
