CP Foods Strives to Deliver Safe and High-Quality Food with 'One Standard for All' for Global Consumers

Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Limited (CP Foods) is actively implementing, its operations, the CPF Food Standard PS 7818:2018, a "One Standard for All" strategy, ensuring the delivery of high-quality food that aligns with globally-recognized standards.

CP Foods has successfully implemented the CPF Food Standard PS 7818:2018 across 117 of its broiler operations in Thailand, encompassing chicken and duck business units. This significant achievement underscores the company's commitment to maintaining consistent standards in the creation and distribution of safe, high-quality food worldwide. The company recently received a certification from BSI Group (Thailand) Co., Ltd., emphasizing their unwavering dedication to adhering to a single global standard for product quality, safety, and sustainability.

Siripong Aroonratana, the COO for Livestock business at CP Foods, confirmed that this accomplishment aligns the company's operations with global standards, making it the first company in Southeast Asia to develop its own Private Standard under BSI's collaboration. This progress facilitates the supply of high-quality products, enhancing trust and confidence among consumers and stakeholders worldwide.

"We take immense pride in partnering with BSI UK, a globally recognized authority that aids CP Foods in building trust among all food safety, quality management, and sustainability stakeholders throughout the entire value chain through its 'One Standard for All' policy," Siripong added.

He noted that in accordance with their vision of becoming the 'World's Kitchen', CP Foods has partnered with the British Standards Institution (BSI) to launch the CPF Food Standards Project. This project seeks to establish uniform food standards across the company value chains, merging quality, food safety, and product sustainability management systems. The integrated poultry business in Nakhon Ratchasima province was the first operation to be awarded the CPF Food standard certification.

Looking ahead, CP Foods plans to extend this certification to its other businesses, thus enhancing overall efficiency in sustainable and integrated food production.

The CPF Food Standard merges multiple benchmarks, including Good Hygiene Practices (GHPs), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP)/CODEX, ISO 9001, ISO 22000 and BRCs as well as domestic and international food regulations. It also includes Animal Welfare, and hence, gaining approval from customers and stakeholders. This Standard guarantees the provision of consistently high-quality products throughout the entire production chain.
