CP Foods delivers “Food from heart” to hospitals in Covid-19 red zone

Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Limited (CP Foods) continues “CPF Food from the Heart against COVID-19 , delivering over 61,000 packs of ready-to-eat meals to medical staffs working in the frontline at 15 hospitals in 6 maximum controlled provinces.


In response to the new wave of COVID-19 outbreak in Thailand, The project aims at using CP Foods’ expertise as a world-class food producer to supply safe and nutritious food supplies to those who are fighting at the frontline against the outbreak.


The COVID-19 relief project is now delivering ready-to-eat meals to 15 hospitals in 6 provinces, including Samut Sakhon, Samut Songkhram, Nakhon Pathom, Ratchaburi, Suphanburi and Kanchanaburi. These provinces are categorized by Thai government as a “Red Zone” under maximum control of Covid-19.


CP Fresh Mart, a retail arms of CP Foods, has continiously delivered 61,200 packs of ready-to-eat meals in accordance with strict safety measures to the hospitals with COVID-19 patients. 


15 hospitals included Samut Sakhon Hospital, Krathum Baen Hospital, Nakhon Pathom Hospital, Banglane Hospita,l Ratchaburi Hospital, Damnoen Saduak Hospital, Ban Pong Hospital, Ban Phaeo Hospital, Somdej Phra Phutthaloetla Hospital, Napalai Hospital, King Mongkut's Hospital, Makarak Hospital, Pahonpol Payuha Sena Hospital, Chaophraya Yommaraj Hospital and Somdejprasangkharach XVII hospital.


Since March 2020, “CPF Food from the Heart against COVID-19” has been initiated by CP Foods CEO Prasit Boondoungprasert. The project has delivered foods to 200 public hospitals nationwide and further delivered foods to 20,000 families of doctors and nurses. Also, the company supports 5 hospitals in remote areas of Tak Province to prevent outbreaks at the Thai-Myanmar border.


In addition to the frontline medical workers, CP Foods in collaboration with the government agencies and other partners are currently providing food supplies to migrant workers and underpreviledged people. Recently, the company has partnered with Labor Protection Network (LPN) to provide over 30,000 packs of CP Foods’ products and 10,000 fresh eggs to help alleviate the hardships of migrant workers in the Mahacha shrimp market.
