The Company believes that stakeholder engagement is a crucial foundation to building and becoming a sustainable organization. We define stakeholders as all persons or organizations that are positively and negatively affected by our internal and external business activities.
We continuously conduct an analysis and a review to thoroughly identify stakeholders and emphasize continuous engagement through a variety of activities and communication channels. The frequency of communication with each stakeholder group varies, depending on the Company’s work plans and stakeholders’ needs. Understanding their needs, opinions, concerns and suggestions can help us improve our sustainability practices in an appropriate and fair way.
In 2020, the Company incorporated stakeholders’ issues and feedback covering economic, social, and environmental aspects. We prioritized those issues and conducted one-on-one interviews with representatives from stakeholder groups including customers, business partners, government agencies, academic institutes and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), to gather their views on the Company’s sustainable development. The feedback from these external stakeholders was also used to define contents in our sustainability report 2020.
